Ubuntu Forums 10-year birthday has been officially announced in a dedicated thread today, accompanied with a link to the first known post – a greeting by the long-time member ubuntu-geek.

This has also been announced on a blog post here.

All our thanks to the Ubuntu project, to ubuntu-geek who first started the forums and had them grow, to all the numerous Staff and Admins who have given their time and energy and most of all to all the members who contribute their knowledge, presence and really make what the forums are : a unique small internet spot that has evolved over a decade.

The announcement generated many greetings and thanks from various forum members.
