This weekend Steam is offering five games for Linux at a considerable price promo, as well as a 2-day free trial for each of them. Most of the titles are from 2012 and 2013 with games such as Trine 2 or XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and benefit of promotions between 66% and 80% discount.

Three classic Sid Meier titles for Linux are available on Steam now with a 25% discount for the whole pack.
Serious Sam 3: BFE is a first-person shooter, a prequel of Serious Sam: The First Encounter, set in a futuristic universe, with single-player, multi-player and coop modes.
One week after its initial release on Steam for Linux, Stronghold 3 is available at an 80% off price in a special promotion that will end on October 13.

Crusader Kings II is a strategy game available on Linux, featuring single and multi-player, and set in various historical periods. Crusader Kings II was launched in 2012 and it received positive reviews.

Aeon Command has been made available through Steam on Linux too. The game is available for purchase at a modest price of 2.54€, however a Linux demo is available on their website (see below for instructions on how to run the demo).
In the past I looked at two other free games available on Steam for Linux, namely No More Room in Hell and Cannons Lasers Rockets. Currently, there are about seven free games on Steam which run on Linux too, and Star Conflict is one of them.
System Shock 2 is a 3D sci-fi shooter with a horror theme, and recently it has been made available for Linux as well on the Steam platform for $9.99.
Cannons Lasers Rockets is a free space exploring game available on Steam for Linux and Windows with 3D graphics and futuristic space environments. The game was released on February 4, 2014, uses the powerful Unity Engine and takes place in various space environments, with 2D battles and a simple gameplay idea: all you need to win are three weapons, obviously cannons, lasers and yes, you guessed it, rockets.
No More Room in Hell is a horror-themed, cooperative zombie survival shooter which is available freely for Linux on the Steam platform. NMRIH started as a Half-Life 2 mod in 2011, and was released as a standalone game for Steam on October 2013.
Krita 2.8.0 was released yesterday, and this version comes with quite a big list of changes. In addition to the new features that were implemented, Krita is also available for Windows with an installer available from here.
According to this announcement on Steam Community, Valve’s game Portal 2 Beta is now available on Steam for Linux. To access it in Linux, you will need to opt in to the beta from the Portal 2 properties in the Steam Library.
